I like the ultra-lite but I do not like the fact of the illumination they have. Not bad but I would have liked the "glow" effect of some others I have seen.

I am using autometer sport comp guages. They match the factory guage cluster pretty well using the green bulb covers.

I have the Ultra Lite in my truck because Auto Meter offers the best selection of gauges in that style. For example, you can get a 35 or 60 PSI boost gauge and a mechanical fuel PSI gauge is available with an isolator for proper mounting inside the cab. The Lunar are very cool, but you can not dim the light and cost more.

What's the difference between the phantom, ultralite, and lunar gauges?

Ya I priced the sport comp and then left that off this poll.. I will take that into consideration too. I want something that will match the stock cluster and be dimable(sp), because I keep my dash lights way down and would like the gauges to be the same way.

But do you really need a boost gauge that will go to 60PSI? I have been told no, so just curious...ThanksEdited by: GMC2500HD

EMSi,

Go to http://hp.autometer.com/buyers_guide/product_lines/product_lines.html and you can check out all the differences. Price varies a little, too, maybe 20 bucks between them.

Thanks!

0-60 psi full span I expect would only be of use with a different turbo charger. The stock IHI has issues long before 60 psi.

Isspro was my choice on my old truck. Now I have the Attitude and love it.

Happy buying.

Isspro was my choice on both diesels that I have owned, and have been great. The Attitude I just added and is an excellent and "less invasive" option. Therefore, my vote is for "OTHER" and that would be Isspro/Attitude!

If you want the ligths to be dimmable, all you have to do is wire your lights off of your dimmer wire on your light switch. Can't remember which wire colo. I just used a test light to find the right wire. Mine dims like a champ!

I have Lunar, and they DO dim with the factory switch. They look really cool at night

I run the Phantoms because they are the best match for my Escalade cluster. Remember you can change the backlighting with the color rubbers if you want.

If you want dimming capabilities and don't want to tap into the oem dimmer or if you want it to have dimming capabilities separate from the oem dimmer, you can wire a pot inline with the hot wire to the light circuit on the gauge. These guys have a wiring kit already set up to do the latter:

I bought my rapid hitch from these guys and that is when I noticed the dimmer kit. I am interested in this poll also because I am still trying to decide which pyro to get.

Here's a pic of my Lunar guages with the Attitude and a view of the dash at night. It didn't come as good as I thought it would, but I guess it doesn't get much better with no light in the background.
