I just got a new PPE Hot+2 ET programmer. I was running the older PPE Hot +2 before and never had any issues.

Now whenever I start my truck I get a P0299 code. What's really strange about it is that sometimes it lights the CEL and other times it doesn't.

After I clear it it will sometimes come back. It has happened in different situations. Sometimes when it's just sitting idling or sometimes when I'm just cruising down the road.

Also, when the CEL is on the PPE sees it and I can clear it. Other times my Predator sees it the when the CEL isn't on but the PPE won't see it at all.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? Are there codes that will trigger the CEL that both the PPE and the Predator won't show but will clear?

I think it's due to a difference in the tables they modified. If you set the table for desired boost to call for way more boost but don't change the turbo vane desired position table then they may conflict and cause it to think it's not getting the boost it is asking for. At least that is a theory I have. I've been settinga P0299 that won't set the light with a tune I made with EFI. Could be that they did the same thing on the PPE programmer. If someone has a better idea why it does it I'd like to know.
