The ABS light came on in my dad's '96 K3500.
Is there a way to determine what part of the system is failing?

The scanner I have doesn't show abs read outs. It's a joke that EASE calls it an enhanced parameter scan tool. I doubt that autozone's scanner would read it either but I havn't tried it.Edited by: quantum mechanic

If you know anybody with a Snap On MT-2500 scanner they can pull ABS diagnostics with it, they are more common than T-2s most better general automotive shops have them, work on multiple vehicles and cost less than T-2, only drawback is not all capability of a T-2 offers but pretty good for our purposes.
