Im looking at purchasing a 05 gmc d max with and edge modual and on the fly control already installed my question is ... The dealership has the warranty box checked on the window sticker and I asked more than once if the truck still was warranted by the factory even though it had aftermakert horsepower upgrades and they continued to tell me that it was still under warranty... Are they lying to me?

Get it in writing.Be specific and you are good to go.Documents are what matter in court.

You absolutely cannot be too careful on this. Loosing the warranty can be very $$$.

Ask for a VIN check in the correct forum here and you will find out if it warranty blocked or not.

Why not find an old man trade that hasn't been abused with a power add on.?

Thats what Ive been looking for but this one supprisingly looked clean well kept and as if it hadnt been in the mud.. but Im sure he probably ragged the hell out of it .. why else would he trade it in at 27,000 unless he just wanted a new truck every year or went through a divorce or something like that.

Smells like a candidate for an ATS or Suncoast tranny...

Just because it has a chip does not mean its damaged or flogged. Take it out and crank it up. If it doesn't feel right or you limp the tranny, or worse, then walk away.):h

I'm with Rick. Take it for a test drive. Make sure that you get it up to temp (edge doesn't kick in until then). Flog it in level 3, if it runs strong and the vin checks out on here, I'd say you're good to go.
Sometimes trucks that are run a little harder have less problems than ones that are babied... my 2c

I have the juice with attitude on my truck and the injector wiring harness went out on me on my way to missouri pulling a trailer and i left it all hooked up b/c i was so pissed off, and they warranted everything they did...so i think you'll be ok
Just Because It Has A Tuner On It Does Not Mean It Has Been Abused.. Run My Edge On Level 3 All The Time And Have Never Spun The Tires..
