I keep seeing that you can purchase the Allison trans filter for $8 to $9 form vendors here.
The only ones I see are $12 to $18

bikerdan,
Don't know how close you are to Annapolis but I called American Truck and Bus down there which is an authorized Allison service center and picked mine up for $9.18. I figured what the heck might as well get 4, that should take care of my truck for a real long time. Hope this helps, good luck.

Fleetfilter.com.......Good prices and good service. The air filter was only $60 dollars cheaper than the stealer. It is a donaldson with a napa wix part number on it. Tranny filter was also less than the $47 dollars that the stealer wanted.....Check it out....

Although you can get them from allison for cheap, remember when you buy from vendors here that in a way your buying their advice as well. Every vendor I've ordered from here has been more than helpful if I've needed there help. Well worth the few extra bucks.

Fleet filter sells filters at a good price but their tranny filter isn't the red OEM allison one. Their filter covers the holes where as the allison one doesn't. Just thought I would let you guys know that

I tried support vendors here. I talked to mike and he told me that since I am on the oppisite coast he suggested I get them elsewhere. I haven't seen any other vendors selling "allison" at even close to $10

I told you that because of the shipping costs. Eric is closer therefore you would pay less shipping. I also told you to find a local Allison dealer for the best price. Just lookin out for ya. :D

I know you were looking out for me. I didn't imply anything bad in what I said. I do ALWAYS appreiciat and respect what you say. Just cant find anybody on east coast with similar prices except non participating vendors.

bikerdan. I have them at 10.00 ea as does Mike. Depending on your area, you may have a local Allison dealer you could get them from.

The reason to buy from Merchant Automotive, (Eric), on east side, and Mike, on west side!
