: Hmm, undercoat or spray-on bedliner in the rear wheel wells>???
ChampionTransmission 11-02-2006, 04:14 PM Ok, well my "Fat-Back" is White. I for one CAN NOT stand how the rear wells are White. Every wash I find myself crawlin' in there and cleaning them! I HATE it! Has anyone had their's sprayed or done it themselves>??? Some pictures would be GREAT! I think I might do it regardless(I will post pics of course) but would love to see it done already first. Any help and or info is greatly appreciated!!! -Mat-
Gruber 11-02-2006, 04:21 PM I had my rear wheel wells done with Linex when I did the bed. They charged me another $100. Looks a lot better and they clean up well. I just spray them off with the hose and nozzle. I don't have a pic of them but it might show up in one of my garage pics. I don't think I would use undercoating. Not very durable and it's sticky and soft. My 2 cents
Montanaman 11-02-2006, 05:19 PM What about rubberized undercoating or just a can of flat or low gloss spray paint?? I have a white fat a$$ too and the wells do need toned down a bit.
My money tree seems to not be sprouting like I would like so I'm gonna try the cheap trick of rubberised undercoating.........I already have a few cans!

Can't argue with that reasoning. You might want to do a test on a frame rail or something to make sure you like the results
HiluxxuliH 11-02-2006, 05:35 PM I think I used that 3M rubberized undercoating for my truck I did it to lessen the logging road rock damage , I also did the part behind the rear wheels about a foot up.
fishdmax 11-02-2006, 05:44 PM Used spray on undercoat on my 02, worked fine, and looked a lot better. Only did the white portion, not the frame.
hoppyinak 11-06-2006, 10:52 PM I had the underside of my truck to include the fenderwells sprayed with rubberized undercoating and now wished that I hadn't. Had it done two years ago and most of it is gone now with road debris and rock chips. If you are gonna do it or have it done, make sure that whatever they use they put it on thick.

Just go to your local track and do a couple 2wd burn outs; throws enough rubber into the wheelwell to coat everything, and its nearly impossible to get off Censored .
duramax/a 11-08-2006, 08:03 PM I did mine in the rubberized undercoating. I did this 3 years ago and it has held up perfectly.

That is what that shCensored is thanks.... Lookin to get mine sprayed too..
Greyghost 11-12-2006, 12:07 PM Had mine done by the dealer, as an option. Specifically told them how I wanted it done, and it came out perfect.
Had them remove those silly --s plastic bed rail protectors and the one on the tail gate. Then spray an over the rail bed liner, including the tail gate, and then spray both rear wheel wells. Additional cost for the wheel wels was $100 per. but money well spent. Whole job cost $500 for the 8 foot box.

RYDNHI4x4 11-12-2006, 12:10 PM On the 17th I will be getting my truck undercoated. There doing the full coating. And when I say fuul I mean there drilling holes in the fender wells, doors, door frames, and anything that can't be touched by hand. Cause as alot of you guys things will rust from inside out. I will post some pics after the work is done.
Cheesehead 11-12-2006, 12:37 PM No more white *** cheeks, I went to Autozone and picked up a can of under coating, I think it was called duo coat works great. Even touched up some frame areas where the freight hooks contacted. Finally my neighbor is off my *** about those rear wheelwells.:D
921500Z71 11-12-2006, 01:12 PM I put undercoating on the bottom 4 inches all around the trucks body since I was running 35x12.50's and didn't want to chip the paint. I did this 2 years ago and have painted it again since then and it has held up great. In the spring I plan to take the bed off and spray the frame rails and wheel wells
