: Myth? Savage77 11-02-2006, 02:58 PM I have heard from a few different sorces that the Allison transmissions that we believe to be in our trucks, arent Allison's at all. That they are in fact Allison cases with GM parts inside. I guess i just need some closure on this issue. Does anyone know? The 1000 and 2000 Series are indeed Allisons. They are design and built at the Allison facilities in Indianapolis and Baltimore.
