I'll be rebuilding my trans pretty soon, and was wondering if there was anything toward the back of my 6.5 that should be tended to. First thought was the main seal. If it is not leaking should I bother replacing it? Is this replaceable without removing the oil pan?

When I did my clutch at 120K I replaced my rear main seal. Its one piece and the oil pan does not have to be removed. I don't think the OE one was leaking nor the new one I installed. I just figured while I am there should do it. Don't know if thats the best logic.

Was thinking along those same lines.
