I read some posts on installing 1500hd springs on 2500-3500 trucks to improve ride, does it work?

I'm sure it does, but with it goes the function/purpose of 2500HD springs.

I think the 1500HD springs are the same as the 2500 and 2500HD's, The frames are just smaller. moregrip has a post about using 1/2 ton 1500 springs in this section.

I was just looking at moregrips pics, I just cant stand the ride on some of the so cal fwy's unloaded if the 1500 hd springs make a big improvement then I will just add air bags for when I need the capacity, the 1500hd springs have a total of 3 leafs, the 2500hd has five........

That's the thing, my 1500HD springs look just like moregrips 2500HD springs (4 leafs + Overload for a total of 5) The springs he used are from a regular 6 lug 1500.

what would it do to the ride-height if you jsut swapped out for 1500 springs? you'd have to block it back up I'd think.

It lowered the rear of moregrips truck about 1.5" I believe.
