I'm looking for a 9-10" lift but I wasnt sure if it would be better to run the less expensive 7-9" kit at 9" or the 10-12" kit at 10" or does it make a difference?

Depends on what you want to run. I have the 7-9 on mine with 35s. Some people that run the bigger lifts start having driveline problems on the front end if you start using your 4x alot. But if you want to go with the bigger tires then there you have it. 7-9 kit is great, I don't have any complaints.

Go with the 10-12. That way when you want a bigger tire ( and you will) you are all set up for it.):h ):h

What size tires do you want to run?

I was thinking 37's, I'd like 40's but I've heard all the horror stories invovled with running a tire that big on IFS. Oh and I want KMC rockstars which have a 5.03 backspacing I believe. Any comments?

Figure out what tire size you want to run. Me personally I would run the 7-9 set @ 7 w/ 36" tires. or the 10-12 set @ 10 w/ 38" tires. If you are going to drive it offroad I would look for another kit that has more protection for the front differential housing. JMO.

I have the 7-9" set at 9 with 36" iroks and I have no complaints. It does ride stiff but what the hell its a truck. But I do think it improved over the stock ride quality. But thats just my .02 Good luck

If you need more info on what kit might be best for you, call me and I can help tell you pros and cons.

P.S. check out the gallery on my site for more Cognito pic's.
