got my ecm reflashed at the dealer today they can only reflash them if there is an update. they also told me even if you remove your tune they can still tell it was there.

I would like to know how they know that there was a tune in there. Specially if you are using EFI or HP tuners and do a full write of the original code. That brings it back to exactly as it was when it was fully read.

They can only tell that "someone" programmed the ECM/PCM X-number of times, not what was loaded on it or who did it.

I'd just blame it on another dealer that apparently didn't file a warranty claim on the work.):h Darn those inept dealers :lol:

That is kinda strange cause recently i took my truck to a dealer and i took out my VA box and set my hypertech back to stock and after i dropped my truck off the dealer called me asking me if i had a programer for my truck? Did they know? I told them NO and they honored my warranty.

they told me what dirtdog said, they can tell something was there just not what, lots of times warrenty depends on your service manager, i went to school with mine (helps to have a good one lots of tricks to get an out of warrenty issue fixed under warrenty)
