i asked this in someone elses thread and i did not get a responce and with the temps falling more an dmore every day i kinda need an answer, so dont get mad:)

i know theres plenty of benifits to using the grille cover for diesels but would it have the same effect on a gas motor? im asking because i have a 1500 gas silverado for a plow truck and it would be nice to have quicker warm ups and better mileage.

if so, can someone point me in the direction in where to get one, the only one i have seen is made by lund and it is full plastic insted of cloth material.

thanks in advance

I like the multi pecie plastics becasue you can take part of it off and still get some air flow. Also....if your plowing I would leave the cover off.....even if you wernt worried about heat the darn things dont like to stay on with a plow up front....it makes some wierd air flow deal and peels em off.

well the plow is only on when it snows, when it isnt snowing its driven for the company so without the plow, would it be helpful on a gas engine

I thought it snowed every day from Oct. 1st to April 1st in Buffalo...:joke:

You could try one and see how it does. Watch that trans temp though.
