Where do you get them? How much $$$? How hard to install?

Thanks!

Recommend the Air Lift over the Firestones, you can install them yourself, around $220 to $240. Kennedy diesel has them as well as Summit etc

I disagree and agree with Crashdummy! I prefer the Firestones! I think I paid under $220 online. Easy to install.

Easy to install. They are the only way to go in my opinion. They smooth out the ride when empty and when loaded. They will let you level out your truck no matter what the load and give you better steering control. Some are afraid they will blow out causing a loss of control but I have not had this happen on the last 3 trucks I have owned. Who knows your results may vary.

Got the Firestones too, I like them but that's my opinion, never really tried anything else. The install took me and a buddy just over 2 hours. Of course that was without a lift and simple tools, and no compressor to install, just did the air lines out the back through the bumper. Really easy to install.

I have the Air Lift super duty 5000# set on my truck and have not had a problem. I do have 2 added leaf springs on each side so the install wasn't cut and dry. I had to do a little extra work in the install.

I see the big trucks using them all the time, do not know what brand, but if they can make them to handle 80,000 GVWR trucks that nearly all the time run over loaded, our trucks should be fine with them.

Crashdummy,

What is wrong with the Firestone?

I bought two of te Firestone 2600# bags and made my own brackets to fit the rear axle. Cost me about $100 for the bags and another $200 for the compressor. Stainless tubing through out, except for movable locations. Very easy to install and works great. I still have no leaks after sitting for two weeks every time I go to work.

I bought a set of air lift bags on line. They were very easy to install and they work great. I think it took me just a little over a hour. The lady I delt with is from the air lift company. Her name is Shannon, E-mail her with what you have and she will e-mail back with a price. I was under a $100 delivered to the door. Please tell her that IBGUMMY gave you her e-mail I will tell her to expect a couple. Here is the address. Hope I helped you out.

If you can get the 5000# super duty air bags complete with lines connectors and compressor for under $100 delivered, then I got ripped off by about $160. I paid $260 and that was the best deal I could find. I checked about 10 places and 100 or more on line stores that carried them.

I got everything, minus the compressor. I fabbed my own compressor and holding tank into my tool box. I didn't think I needed their system.I paid $ 85 for the bags, brackets, and lines.
