I bought the aluminum with chrome. Nice bracket arrangement, strong and well designed in many ways. I had to buy more hardware as there were not enough nut/bolts for the tubes to bracket attachment. Then there are the end caps. They come off if you breath on them. Now I have to try and drill them and reinforce the end cap attachment. Unreal, I am royally pissed.
For what they cost, stay away.

I would agree. I originally wanted them on my truck, but saw them on a new truck at a local dealer, and the finish was already pitted. I think Westin CPS is the best way to go.

I have the Westin Oval Tube steps and I had to add an extra stainless steel screw to each of the end caps. After that, all is well. I haven't had any problems with the chrome finish on the aluminum. If I do, the lifetime warranty will cover it (per Westin). I don't like a lot of unnecessary extra weight on my truck. Thats why I chose the aluminum Westin Oval Tubes over anything stainless steel. Check the weight of stainless steel vs. aluminum... there is a big difference.
