OK so today I went ahead n bought my edge/attitude for the LLY. After readin post after post I still havnt come to a conclusion of where to mount the egt. Driver side or Passenger side? Is the stock length cable that comes with the Attitude long enough for me to do a clean wiring job without shooting str8 across the engine and into the cab? Thanks everyone for the help.............

The above link is to the famous "Hoot method" that gets referred to a lot on these forums. I can't help you with the length of the attitude cable, as I never installed the monitor when I installed the Juice back in January.

I installed mine in the right (pass side manifold). The cable is plenty long enough to reach behind (or over) the engine to reach the juice module to which it attaches. This leaves everything exposed and easy to remove if a trip to the dealer becomes necessary.

My attitude is one of the latest versions with the longer cable. It reaches from the Juice box under the hood to the center area of the interior cab (overhead console or center console area) without having to purchase the available extension.

You ask about mounting the probe, then refer to the Attitude cable. The cable the probe is mounted to, goes to the Juice. The cable from the Attitude goes to the Juice as well. There is a set of color coded different length wires coming out of the Juice for the EGT probe, and a cable with a little green connector for the Attitude cable. It also has a little green connector on the end of it.


If you mount the EGT probe on the passenger side using the Hoot method, there's enough cable to get to the Juice when it's mounted on top of the UHFP with the velcro. The newer Attitudes come with a nine foot cable so you can mount it inside the truck about where ever you want, including the ATS overhead mount. Run the cable to the Juice however you want, and plug in.
