Guys,

I have 03,LB7,2500 4X4 Silverado that has just killed the batteries !

I recharge them, all seems good ,then I notice the blower motor running with everything switched off ! Something is feeding power to the resistor and powering up the fan all the time !

Has anyone seen this before,,could it be a bad resistor ?? I have the fan plug pulled at the moment so it wont kill the batteries..

Cheers

AL

I don't think bad resistors would cause the problem. Do you have a remote starter? It seems something is suppling power to the orange wire coming from the ignition switch.

Nope,no remote start all standard "Canadian" version truck.?

I have the resistor being tested at the moment

Do you have auto a/c? if you do then check fan module, common in other gm products, no idea where it's at on trucks but it's in the blower case in cars

Yes it is auto A/C we call it "Climate Control" and the fan module is the same as the resistor,I believe.

Was not tested either,I have refitted and tried TECH 2 but It looses communication everytime it tries to talk to the BCM !!!
