Well as of last night I'm now part of the dually community! It sure was tough leavin the 2500hd CC at the dealership but the dually is startin to grow on me. My question and not to beat a dead horse is, will 285 75 16 BFG's fit with Fred's 2" wheel spacers? Keep in mind I'll be towing a 40' race trailer. Also do I need E load range tires? I noticed the General 215's on the truck now are load range D. Thanks guys!

You have LRD Generals? Hmmm, Mine has Goodyear AT/S LRE...
Oh, and sorry, forgot to answer your question. A 2" Spacer will provide adequate clearance to use 285s, even on a stock wheel. I'd definately prefer an E range tire, but they're few and far between in a 285. LRD will work, but expect a bit more sway with the larger tire. Air pressure will be very important to minimize this.

Thanks WS6 for the reply. Im very jealous of your garage! I had to get rid of my 02 SS M6 cuz I have a bit of a self control problem behind the wheel of fast cars . Now that I'm into these duramaxs Im goin as fast as I was in the camaro! Atleast in a straight line.....

I hear ya, I was there once- The F bods are garage queens these days, we hit the track when the need for speed hits- Got lucky a lot of times, so I quit while I was ahead! ;)
Don't be jealous, just start collecting again! We gotta have a hobby, right? :D

I'm Running The 285 Bfg's With Freds 2 Inch Spacer. I Tow A 40 Foot Toy Hauler With A Pin Weight Of 3000 Lbs. The Tires Are No Where Close To Rubbing. Even When Im In Sand And Have To Air Down To 20 Lbs. I Still Dont Rub. Stick With The Load E If Your Towing Its Also A Stronger Side Wall And Wont Squat As Much With The Load.

Hey,
I've got a 2007 Classic Crew/Long Bed LBZ ordered up. I'm wanting to put 285/16 Toyo Open Countrys on them. I'm thinking about running my rig stock for a month to have a baseline to compare against for noise and power. I am thinking I'll run the Edge/Attitude to compensate for the 285/16's for mileage/fuel economy and for towing benefits. Anyone running this setup on their crew duramax?
What's your mileage like(with the Edge/attitude & 285/16's) compared to stock with the 245/16's?
Aside from trimming the front bumper to accomodate the 285/16's, do I need 2" spacers? What application are 2" spacers used for?
Question for Edge/Attitude
What lengths do GM dealerships or shops to retrieve metal drill shavings out of the system while installing the sensors?
Concerned with metal shavings going through the turbo!
Thanks for any advice

2" spacers are for 3500 dually trucks that's why I originally posted in that section....
