I'd use the steel ones that Fred makes. Aluminum scares me for that purpose. :eek:

I bought a similar set of adapters back in March. I have towed and driven several thousand miles with them and no problems yet.

Use the steel ones. I had three sets of the cheap alum. ones break on a 1/2 ton truck I used to have. Ended up making my own out of 2X2 solid steel bar.

Steel is the way to go. Aluminum is just too soft if you load these trucks the way they were intended to be.

order a set of steel 2" from fred(ol' fred an all right guy!) should be here today or tomorrow..i'll post some pic's when i get them on
