Do you have the grey wire hooked up to a switch so you can manually prime the pumps? Do you turn the pumps on when you start the truck and leave them on? Or, do you only turn the pumps on when you are hot rodding around, racing, or pulling?
thanks

Ok how about someone with the pumps who doesnt have the wire hooked up? Or, someone without the pumps that can shed some light on this issue? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Mine are wired to turned on with main power (turning the key). They are also wired together so as both pumps are on as soon as the key is on...no messing around that way!:D

Ive yet to hook up the grey wire but its for priming the filter after a filter change. Its not for priming the pumps. The TTS pumps normaly run for 3 sec or so when the key is turned on to pressureize the system. Once running a single pump runs all the time...the second comes alive above 10lbs boost.

Cool, gotcha. Thanks for the responses. So I should just turn the switch to the on position when I start the truck and leave it on right? I dont know why I didnt just leave well enough alone. I had it the same as you do Duratys, but I just felt like having another happy little switch...coulda just left well enough alone.

The pumps are controlled by electronics, they monitor oil psi and boost psi.
One pump runs below 10 psi boost with the engine running and the second pump turns on at 10 psi and above boost pressure.
The grey wire needs to be grounded for the pumps to run for priming.
Having both on all the time is un-necessary IMHO, that is why TTS designed the system the way they did.

I could be wrong, but it seems as if I start the truck and drive around, the pumps are off, unless I turn the switch on. With the switch in the off position...no smokey. Switch in the on position...smokey. I been :drinking: so gimme so schlack.
