This noise is driving me nuts! I never remember it being so loud when I bought it but it is a pretty constant humm that can be heard at low speeds more, 1,2 gears mostly. I have a manual transfer case and rubber floor that might be magnifying the noise more....I dunno.


If I am going down the road and put my hand on the lever I can feel the humm, and every bump I hit in the road moves the lever. The movement seems pretty excessive for a new truck.


This happened to me today.....I went to switch the truck to nuetral in the case. It popped right into 4 lo and I could not get it out. I had to creep up the road to find a place to pull off. It took three times pulling at it to get the truck out of 4L. It felt like I was tearing the lever off!!


I am tempted to take it to the dealer along with some other quirks. Like my woopie cushion seat!Edited by: Mofun

Is the hum in 2wd or 4wd? Mine is silent in 2wd. But I do have push button 4x4 so perhaps the shift lever is bringing more noise into the cab.
