I would like to make the Stock Allison stronger without replacing the whole thing for right now. I have GMPP and would like to run the stocker until that expires. What in your all opinions are the best upgrades to make the trans a little bit stronger? I am thinking it will be the convertor, but I am not 100% sure.
Thanks for the help!!

Definately a convertor, but plan on at least $1,000-not installed.

Converter for sure, but if your gonna pull the tranny out to put in a converter why not just change the plates inside at the same time. Imean you will have the tranny out anyways.

You should be talking to Eric about this. Converter will not be enough. Do a Transgo shift kit at least with the converter. If you are going ATS, do the converter and copilot.

The converters are pretty tough, but shifiting is where the ally needs help. Valve Body would be my first upgrade (Co-pilot) if i could do it all over again. Then the converter. Instead i fu$$ed it all up in stock form! need a whole new tranny now. metal shavings all over

Just a converter is usless IMO. If you havent beat the piss outa your truck and dont plan on getting real nutty an transgo shift kit and a converter would be a good combo and pretty economical but means you need to drop your trans and rip out some of its innards.
