I removed the air flow redirector that is behind the grill and head light and also installed a k&n flat filter that looks like a factor one and it does whistle more.Anybody else remove the redirector?...

I did some calculating and the round air filter has twice the filter surface area, at least the napa gold does, not sure of any of the outher brands. The flat filter has 1925 sq inches of filter material and the round HD has a little over 4000 sq in(there is a smaller light duty version of the round filter as well). The change over is easy, costs about 5 dollars and the price of a round filter.
