I removed the air flow redirector that is behind the grill and head light and also installed a k&n flat filter that looks like a factor one and it does whistle more.Anybody else remove the redirector?...

i would of saved that money and spent it on the 97+ circlular air filter and get a 3" round 90 degree pvc elbow installed, remove the airbox and the snorkel, and get some real air movement.

I made the switch to the round filter about a month ago. I did some calculating and the round air filter has twice the filter surface area, at least the napa gold does, not sure of any of the outher brands. The flat filter has 1925 sq inches of filter material and the round HD has a little over 4000 sq in(there is a smaller light duty version of the round filter as well).

The change over is easy, costs about 5 dollars and the price of a round filter. I think there is a improvement in cold weather, don't know how it will be in 90+ weather.

Ahhh ... I get it now. That looks do-able!

And about the speakers... does your truck stall out when you turn it up?
