I received excellent service today from Gunn Chevy in San Antonio. (210) 599-5000. If you need some warranty work, contact Beth Ansley. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
I wanted to have my fuel system checked out because of the raw diesel smell I sometimes get near the fuel filters. This may appear simple enough, but my truck has a 4" lift kit--automatically disqualifies for warranty at some dealerships, as well as a Mega fuel filter and a lift pump (not to mention a modded airbox and a Magnaflow muffler). I was up front about the Mega and the lift pump. Yes, I took off the Juice Attitude, pulled the EGT probe and plugged the hole in the exhaust manifold. They knew enough not to ask too much.........
Well, the tech checked every fuel line and fitting, even on the Mega and the lift pump. He also plugged into the Tech II (?) and found no codes and said the injectors were matched in terms of balance. So I am no longer worreid about the diesel smell--must have spilled some while servicing the filter, and unfortunately I have a keen sense of smell. i imagine this problem will become noticable every filter change......
They also said my aux battery was leaking (it was) so they replaced that and the cable. All this was warranty work and no charge.
I am impressed that they agreed to even look at my truck for warranty given all the mods. However, none of the mods I have done would cause anything like a fuel leak, regulator failure, or injector issue.
