Hello all I need some help very quickly I am looking at a nav unit on ebay and the auction ends in 9 hrs. the unit in question is a factory 2007 navigation radio out of a 07 tahoe I would like to use this radio because it has the dual disc drives so you can use the nav and listen to a cd at the same time witout the 6 disc cd changer anyway will this radio work in my 06 2500 HD physically I would think so but didnt they change the interior of the 07 tahoe and electrically will this work any help would be great thanks again everyone

The shape, size, and wiring is all different for the GMT-900 series. I don't think it would be possible, Ben could tell you. I'm sure he'll stumble across this at some point. If not, just PM him... DURAtotheMAX

I don't think it will work due to a change in communications protocol in 07's. Too bad, I like the built in iPOD plug you can get in 07's now too.
I don't know the exact name of the communications chnage, but I'm sure someone does.

It won't fit or work in 03-07 classic trucks.

thats what I was afraid of thanks anyway guys can anyone suggest a good aftermarket double din nav radio i dont care for the factory nav from 06 and earlier

Pioneer AVIC-Z1 is awesome, but very expensive. Come to think of it, not many double DIN nav systems are cheap.
