First general maintence, what to do. Whats the best fuel filter setup, easy to install/service?

What needs done in the first 500-1000 miles? Im VERY familiar with Camaro/Vette work/tuning etc, first deisel experience however.

Dump rear diff fluid at 500-1000 miles? Should i dump the oil too, i generally would after engine breakin.

What do you all think of the Magnaflow catback? It looks liek the flange itself would be a bottleneck to flow even before the catback, any exhaust systems that go farther up the exhaust system and replace that?

What is the proven best power making catback, intake etc?Edited by: GrannySShifting

If you do some searching you will find numerous topics on this matter and all the other questions you have as well. I know you will find different people use different filters, additives, etc. So you will need to decided what best suits your truck and then go from there. Good luck and congrats on the new truck....

Granny- Everything you have stated sounds pretty good. You are going to want to change your oil at about 1000 miles and then again a few thousand later. Always good to get the break in material out of there. Your rear diff should be changed after 500 miles of towing or 5000 miles of normal driving. Don't forget to change the spin-on filter on your transmission. I change mine at 3000 mile intervals just to be safe.

Do a search on the MBRP exhaust systems and you should find plenty of reading material. The MBRP is my personal favorite, but we do also carry Magnaflow, HOG, and ATS. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Why do you prefer the MBRP? What dont you prefer about some of the other exhausts?
