I'm getting Water in fuel message. Removed fuel filter, found wires cut on bottom of filter. Haven't been back out to see if wire connector is connected. Is there also a water sensor in the tank?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

No sensor in the tank, only water sensor is on the bottom of the fuel filter.
If your wires are cut then resplice them and you should be good to go.

If they are cut, I'd go have a serious word or two with who ever replaced your fuel filter last. :snipersmi :weld:

I Bought the truck from my brother and the only place that I know of that replaced the fuel filters was the dealership(Van's Chevrolet). The wires were cut off at the base of the sensor,so I'll have to buy a new sensor. Thanks for the info.

If the wires are cut, the light is not coming on. Those wires have to touch each other in order for that to happen. I'd be looking for a wiring problem some place unless you can see the ends touching. First place I would look is near the alternator on the FICM bracket, its right near the test port just to the pass side of the alt. That is a common place for wires to rub on that bracket.
FWIW, I have new sensors in stock if you cant find them locally
