I have a duramax pickup but just bought a chevy malibu car 06, they recomend 5-30 oil any one have any good or bad about diff. brands? In the past I always used the same in our car as the pickup delo 15-40. thanks trapper

always used the thinner oil during the winter, thicker during the summer. they use 5w for fuel milage. you can use 10w or 5w without issue. your 15w is formulated for diesel motors...

stick with 5w30 year round. Penzzoil has served me well, as well as valvoline. However, pretty much any oil is OK, so long as API certified, and doesn't say Quaker State, or Kendall on it!
