: Vacation
Redapple 07-06-2004, 01:45 AM Well I just finished about 2 weeks on the east coast. Went back to visit family. While the vaction was nice, but it felt really good to be back home, and back in the saddle of my truck. 2 weeks in that pos minivan was about all I could take! I would have loved to have my truck back east, covered 1300 miles and 6 states. Installed my Juice w/attitude this weekend and WOW! Talk about awakining the sleeper!

Redapple 07-06-2004, 07:36 PM NY weather was ok for most of the time, Virginia & DC really sucked. I am really spoiled now (Lived out here for over 20 years now) don't know how I dealt with it. My kids never understood what humidity is, now they do! LOL In LA I just make sure I have the fog lights on to see thru the smog!

You drove right past me. I live just off I-95 at the Pa-De border.
Redapple 07-07-2004, 04:13 PM Man Hoot,
I missed out on a visit, and checking out that new truck of yours! Sorry I didn't stop by!

Colorado Kid 07-08-2004, 03:50 PM Hoot,
I went up 95 on my Vacation too, and I think I actually saw you. If I remember correctly I got off Hwy 202 just north of Wilmington and had lunch at a Burger King at a Mall. A White quad-cab Dodge went up the street and I thought (I wonder if that's Hoot), I convinced myself at the time that it wasn't, because the Dodge had H2 wheels on it, and I remeberred you saying that the wheels went with the old truck . . . then I get home and see that you have H2 wheels.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Shocked.gif
I'd have flagged you (or whoever it washttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif) down if I'd known.
By the way, I'm SO glad we took the truck and not the mircovan. It was hell parking it in the basement at the Sheraton National in Arlington,VA (Antena hitting every sprinkler pipe in the place and probably 10 cars backed up behind me as I idled forward in granny low listening for the crunch that never came. Posted clearence 6'0"http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Pinch.gif but that's the only time on the whole trip I'd have rather had the Odyssey.
