I was hooking up a trailer tonight, and I went to lock the truck with Key Fob, I fumbled with it, and VOILA the reverse lights came on! It made it much easier to hook up the trailer.
How does it work? It's actually the UNLOCK button that does it, not the lock button. I guess I missed. They stay on about a minute and then turn off. If you press it again, they will come back on. Who needs a flashlight?
Bout time I read the owners manual, eh? ;-)

You can control that through the driver's information center by using your fingers. Please don't use your DIC to push the buttons as NorCal suggested. Not very sanitary. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

McRat,
You might be surprised at all the things you can do with your DIC, the more you play with it, the more things you can discover it can do.

My wife's 2004 Yukon does this as well and the DRL's also come on.
Is there any way I can wire my 2001 HD to have the reverse and DRL's come one when I hit the unlock button?

ChevyHDGert, you could to it with a latched relay. When you hit unlock it latches the relay for X amount of time. That realy provides power to your drls.
