does anyone know for sure if the alli will get an update, if so when. I am talking to my dealer about ordering an 05 but if the tranny upgrades do come and I don't get them because I ordered too soon I will not be happy :D

Unfortunately, anyone that knows for sure can't say anything yet. No doubt it is frustrating.

On the way into work a few months ago (I work in Indianapolis, only a few miles from the Allison plants), I saw a GMC 2500HD crew cab, sand beige truck with graphics on the side that read "Allison Driving Experience", or something pretty similar. I remembered thinking at that time that there was probably something special in that truck that we would be seeing in the future. No telling how many miles are on that truck, but if you saw it, you would not miss it since the graphics pretty well covered up the back half of the truck. Not knowing what was in the truck, I have no idea how soon or if we will ever see it. I just thought it was interesting to see this going down the road.

Some have said something is coming in 05, while others say not until 06. Some it looks like it will be here within 14 months and it must be good.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif
