Hello all

I've been an avid reader for several months and want to thank all for the insight and information collected in the sight

My question is

Was talking to Banks about the exhaust system I will be buying next week and told him I had decided on the Edge / Attitude and he told me the Banks system has more safety features and will not harm my trans and engine. I would like to hear the pro's and cons of both. Yes I want to have better performance but my main objective is mileage increase and power for towing my 11K lb travel trailer. And an occasional blast from the Red Light.

Thanks to all

bhamdmax, Nice to hear from you! Anyways on to your question! Both products that you are considering are great! I really don't think you can go wrong with either! The banks module does have a safety so to speak built into it to help keep some life in your tranny! But the edge with attitude combo serves you with complete gauges to monitor your trucks vitals, like your torque converter status, egts, boost, etc! There are features in the edge to help minimize tranny damage, like defuel all shifts, or just the 4 to 5 shift! The 4 to 5 shift is the one of most concern, because at that shift point is where you are most likely to experience limp mode! But anyway, I feel that either way you go is a good decision! good luck in your future horsepower endevours! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

BhamDmax,

While both products have a great rep, the Edge has a much better price and has the tranny slippage controls that protect the Allison as well. Anyone with an Edge is going to have a pretty hard time hurting the trans. I would suggest you do a search here on Edge and see what info you get, if you have that much time anyway, it will be a lot of stuff. Do some searches on exhaust too you'll be surprised at what you turn up! Call us if you have any questions etc.

the old 90 hp edge box will spank banks new "150" box........the banks box is garbage and backs off at the smell of a bump in the road......all of edge's boxes monitor trans slippage and with the attitude they also monitor egt's......if you like banks then just buy their exhaust.....edge is a stand up company......hands down

After talking with a couple of people that have the banks stuff.I have decided to go with the edge/attitude and the TTS exhaust.
