Today, I get a bunch of front end work done. Tie Rods, pitman arm, idler arm, wheel bearings. Since I didn't have to worry about the tie rods snapping, I went overboard on a launch. I launched it at 3000 RPM :badidea: ,it scared the crap out of me, and it probably did a wheelie. Now, when I try to launch it, when I try to build boost up, it stops at 1400 RPM. Anybody know what it is, and by the way, i'm going to race it in two days.

when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? does it drive normal if you dont try to build boost and launch?

It drives normally when I drive it, and the fuel filter was changed very recently, probably 500 miles ago.

My truck was doing this for a while. However, EFIlive was the culprit, or more so the solution. Our trucks have built in torque managment in order to prevent us from doing burnouts, launches, and the like. I think some trucks are different than others. I had to adjust my tables so that I could raise the RPMs while depressing the brake peddle. Before the adjustments I couldn't get above 1500rpms when I had my foot on the brake.

The truck doesn't have EFI live. It has the PPE hot xcelarator +2 et. elimanator

I still think that stock torque managment is what is holding you back. This is a complete crap shoot, but could it be possible that the ECM adjusts the torque managment, or lowers the amount of torque you can make with your foot on the brake, once it detects that it has made too much in that situation? You follow me?
Try building boost using the least throttle as possible. Does this solve the problem? If so..it's most likely the tune..if not, it's tq man.!

The fact that you did it once and now can't makes me think you may have pushed it into a Brake Torque Management situation that will take several key on cycles to clear.
Or perhaps try disconnecting the batteries for 15-20 minutes and then see if you can drive it like you stole it once again. :D

also sounds like you might have **** canned your converter. been there done that-----will it torque up any at all like even attempt to slip a wheel???? if not it could be the converter. i had a close to 500 rwhp and when the converter went bad it wouldnt slip a wheel whatsoever till i got it exchanged from suncoast.
