anyone had there trans lever cable fail.I have had problems since winter,water got into the rubber boot and was causing it to freeze in the cold temps.drained the water and lubed it and has been fine up until a week ago was real stiff shifting again.called dealer made an apointment for this week.well a couple days two short went north to parents cabin for the holiday weekend, saturday morning jumped in truck to go to breakfest put truck in gear was real stiff,pulled it down in to first and it would not go back up.forced it up and kinked the cable under the dash.had to disconect cable from trans and manually shift it,what a pain it rained all weekend.well made it 160 miles back home luckily with out haveing to back up will go to the dealer tuesday night,kind of glad it rained might of happened at the boat ramp otherwise!
