i am loosing coolant in my lly and i thought i had a bad head gasket but there isnt ne coolant in the oil where else can i be loosing it?

X-Treme 10-26-2006, 07:34 PM Just because there is no coolant in oil doesn't rule out possible head gasket. Coolant might be going into the cyl and being burned. White smoke???? Mackin 10-26-2006, 07:47 PM No visual sign of a leak? demp223 10-26-2006, 08:04 PM Check your EGR crossover tube.Buddy had a small crack in his letting coolant into intake and being burned off ever so slightly.He did throw a code however.There have been a few others that have failed as well whitemax05 10-27-2006, 06:33 AM no white smoke that i can c i did have my egr blocked off and i was thinkin that is where the leak is but the motor is dry and there are no puddles under my truck so i know its not leakin out so mayb it is burning it slightly jzco 10-27-2006, 02:27 PM Had a waterpump leak, only hot and never left puddles, only 20 thousand miles. lddirtysanchez 01-19-2007, 05:27 PM My truck has been doing the same thing for about 10,000 miles no water in oil no visible white smoke and no clue were the coolant is going. As of yesterday my low oil pressure gauge started coming on randomnly wich is scary if you find a awnswer to this mystery let me know and ill do the same Thanks Bryan Sanchez bruce s 01-19-2007, 07:42 PM my wp replaced around 40k still lost coolant turned out to be small 3"long hose on top wp near oil filler tube. | ||
