I have a 97' 2500hd silverado with the 6.5l and iI was wondering where to put the fitting for an aftermarket boost gauge? Also I wanted to know how many pounds of boost there should have? (only stock) Any sugestions would be helpful. thanks

I would imagine anywhere along that upper intake snorkel would work.

I think it's 2-6 psi stock. up to 15+ (stock turbo)with performance modifications.

I want to install a mechanical boost guage. Can I avoid dissasembly and drilling and just add an adaper at this sensor location?

It looks like your pointing to the passengerside of the lower intake manifold.
If you have a hole for it that goes all the way through into the intake and you can get it to fit, it should read psi.

Thanks guys ! Lupey6.5 - what are the specs on the T-fitting you used?

my guess npt into manifold and same on one side where factory sensor is, but i need to figure out my thread size (JK boost/pyro kit).

i don't remember i just took the sensor and gauge fitting into napa and screwed parts together until i had what i needed. they are all standard npt nothing fancy just about 5 bucks worth of brass.
