I know I've heard you guys talking about needing to lube your exhaust brake due to it sometimes sticking. Mine did that with me last weekend, in the mountains of all places. It finally released on it's own, when I reversed a ways and it worked fine the rest of the trip. I'm going to have a mechanic friend come over tonight to lube it for me and I just wanted to be able to give him some idea where to look. Crawling around under this thing with those low running boards Monroe puts on it not exactly fun...as I'm sure you guys know better than me. Seems like I remember someone saying to just shoot it good with spray lube (WD40?) and work it back and forth a few times. Thanks for the help guys!

Sure you friend knows ho but you want to focus on the two pins. I use a spray graphite lube. I am not sure how well wd40 would do since it will just burn off.

This guy is a tractor mechanic so he knows nothing about these trucks, he's just small enough to fit under it, LOL!

where can I tell him to look for it? is it where the exhaust comes out by the engine or is it back towards the back of the exhaust? Sorry to sound so dumb but I have no clue. I'm sure I could send him under to find it but would like to save him some crawling time if possible. Thanks!

Its right about under the passenger seat before the muffler. You cannot miss it
