my 04 lly has an intermittent passing problem. sometimes when traveling 45-50 mph i step out to pass floor the truck and the truck feels like i have the brakes on! after about 3 seconds she wakes up and pulls like a raped ape. the truck has 5500 miles on it and has done this since new. i was hoping it would get worse so when i bring it back to dealer it would be easier for tech to notice.does anyone have this problem or know of a service bulletin? i cant take the warm air conditioning and my ford-dodge friends laughing at my 40,000 dollar truck with the ticking motor and bubbly side mouldings

Mine hesitates a little too. I think it just takes a moment to get the turbo spooled up. Mine doesn't sound as bad as what you described.
My side molding is bubbly too. Not bad but you can see it at certain viewing angles.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

i got the side molding problems also. my a/c is as cold as it gets. most the time i just got the air blowing because that cold anough. i do believe that when doing 45 and steping on it it takes a second to down shift into the right gear. the tick is normal. i would rather a tick then a knock

Mine is perfect. Take the molding off and stick on your Ford?Dodge buddy's trucks.

The bubbly side moulding is covered under warranty...there is a bulletin out on it (not a TSB, just a bulletin)....seems the monkey installing the moulding failed to remove the shipping foam between the moulding. They're sent in stacks and have square foam pads between them to protect them from scratching...seems the installer left them on and they swell in the heat. They will be replaced under warranty if you show it to your dealer. Mine did without a question.... Edited by: XTOAK

My moulding is looking a little wavy. I think I'll have them check it out for me.
