I'm thinking about bolting up a PowerGlide. Will it hold the power better than the Allison?

Besides GM put the ALLISON instead of the 4L85E for a reason..????? But I would love a 4L85E for my 90 1/2-ton it runs a TH-350 and I mis OD, btu I am probable going to just run a TH-400 or 4L80E after I swapp the BB in it... Just wondering about your reaosning..
