I am looking to replace my stock exhaust. I had MBRP on my Dodge but can not find one for the 6.5 TD. What systems are out there for the 6.5?

There are several sources for exhausts for the 6.5. I believe that with the members here that all of them are installed on *someone's* truck!

I've heard lots of good things about the SS diesel supply 4" setup is sweet. That's probably what i would go with if i wasn't planning on a stack.

Kennedy Diesel, Heath Diesel, SS Diesel Supply, Pinnacle (**** Jardine) to name a few. I think BD and Banks even has one. If you're contemplating 3.5" compared to 4" - base your decision on money. There really isn't enough of a difference to make a 4" worth the extra money. Now, if they're both the same price - then go for it.

I have the SSDiesel system, 3in down pipe 4in exhaust no cat, you can hear the turbo at idle. Sounds sweet, that was the 1st mod I did and made a huge diffrence in the way the truck ran.

SS diesel has a stainless 4" system now, too. If they had it at the time I bought mine, I would have gone with it. I've had mine (aluminized) on for nearly 2 years with salty roads in the winter. It's still in excellent condition.

I spoke with warp speed today. They seem to be reasonable. But will contact the others also. Thanks for all the info.

I found an EXTREMELY reasonable system...take a 3 1/2 or 4 inch straight pipe...cut the original exhaust off of the downpipe flange and weld the straight pipe to the flange...total cost...about $40.00 and an hour of work. The turbo quiets the exhaust enough to please the noise police, but leaves the truck with one he** of a mean growl. It's all about personal preference here, but for a few $$ more, you could throw on a glasspack to quiet things down. If I were to do it again, though, I'd go with the 3 1/2"...the 4" is pretty tight, and mine often vibrates against the bed.

I think my next mod is going to be the ssdiesel 4in stainless... Ive heard good things... but i need to see about what i need to do about passing smog here. I don't want this cat any more!!!

If $$$ are major consideration, look at a muffler or 4x4 performance shop IIRC Fords have 4" stainless from factory, that get tossed away when they upgrade to bigger pipes, if someone had the time/skills plumb your 6.5 with a Ford tube

I'm still struggling to find a downpipe that fits.

Got the 4" from ssdiesel and the original downpipe now.

The bend in their downpipe was to far down from the flange for my truck.

Probably no problem an 3/4 or 1 ton.

my SSDiesel 3" DP fits like a glove on my truck and about the 4" pipe hittin the bed i used about 3' of 4"flex to go around the tranny and t'case X-members then slightly bend downward after that and have about 2-3" clearance between the bed. Then again i made my whole system so i was able to fit it to my particular truck thay way I wanted...

The D'max 4" mandrel pipe from flo~pro that goes over the transmission X-member also fits the 6.5 & 4L80E, i have one in my 2000, 2500 4x4.
