Just curious if there were any members near me. Would be nice to be to know someone close. I just bought an exhaust and didn't think about asking if anyone was close that I could have listened to what they had on.

I'm about 400 miles west of you. Thinking of straight piping it. But it is a work truck so I may not do it.

I'm about 75 miles from you. Winnsboro,Tx. I have all Banks exhaust & brake. Would recommend Banks. The monster exhaust made a great improvement to my truck. I tow a 37' Alfa Gold and have no problems.

I just moved from McKinney to Trenton in search of the country life. I think I am going to get my 05 at El Dorado. But unless you want to hear an old Chev 350 or an LS1, I am not much help to you...

Yep, I'm in McKinney TX. Couldn't help you on the exhaust though, still stock there. Picked up the '04 GMC at Lonestart. The only mod is a Nictane filter.

I live in Plano, just south of you. I've done all my own work, so far. Put on a Pre-OEM Racor filter kit and bully bars, so far. Stay in touch.

Wow, more than I thought close by. I ended up buying the MBRP Single T409 system. I was really conflicted between getting the Banks or the MBRP. I guess the deciding factor was price. I got mine from BTG Motoring for $545 (includes shipping). I haven't gotten it yet though. Just ordered it this past Thursday. I plan to eventually get the Banks 6 Gun setup for the rest of it. But I have to save up the dough first. I think I am going to get an AFE Stage 2 air intake first then the 6 Gun and Speed Loader.

I have purchased several trucks from El Dorado. Bobby Starks was my salesman each time and I was real happy with him. Didn't ever try to high pressure me or any of that. I work for EDS so I have access to the GM employee purchase program so I didn't have to haggle on the price of the truck. I did have to on my trades though.

I bought a 2000 1500LS then moved up to a bigger trailer and traded for an 2001 1500HD LT with the 6.0 Liter. I hated that beast and after about 10 months traded for a 2002 Duramax and have never looked back. I have never had a vehicle that I just loved (Until Now).

Anyway, if any of you want to listen to my exhaust after I get it on just let me know. Just PM me and we can hook up.

Thanks for all the replys.

Still no sign of the exhaust. Turns out BTG Motoring does not stock the systems but drop ships them from the manufacturer. That is why their price is so low. Hopefully it will not take a month to get here.

SCCA about a decade ago, mainly open track now. Might get into NASA. Mainly Driver's Edge, Porsche Club (did some driving instruction), some Ford club stuff (got two Mustangs). Been off the track for a couple years while selling previous house/building new house. 5-car garage with a nice car lift in the 12'-tall bay, shop/storage above. 30'x30' carport. Oh yea, attached house for the wife & dog to stay. DMax is the tow vehicle, looking to get rid of the open trailer and find a nice enclosed trailer somebody has to dump for cheap.

Cool. I was autocrossing with SCCA/ER over a decade ago! What kinda car are you open tracking, etc??? I used to autocross my Javelin AMX, now I've got a 68 AMX for vintage road racing. Or, just feel free to contact me off this list, since we're getting off topic....

if you cannot get your exhaust in quick enough. Call over to Kinneys in Hurst. They have the absolute best service in town and the drive for you would be worth it. 30 mins during the week. They are closed Sunday and Monday. Tell them you are a friend of Aaron with No Problem and they will take care of you. They did my exhaust and they do alot of work for the dealerships in HEB.

I got to meet Booby Starks this weekend while trying to decide on a color. He seemed to know quite a bit about the DMax and the Silverado. Looks like I'll be buying from him too since I had the same experience that you had...

Scott_KTM, I don't race anymore. I did race my son once last November and ended up breaking my arm. Now I am the proud owner of pins, screws and a titanium plate in my right wrist. My youngest son (12) that rides the KX85 has thought about trying it. We usually just go trail riding. We haven't been to Badlands but have been to ride a few times at Boondoxx. We like to go Muenster the best.

I had the pleasure of 2 titanium rods and a bundle of wire in my elbow a few years ago. We love Muenster but don't get to go often since I race too much.

My MBRP exhaust finally came yesterday. I installed it last night. Took me about 4 hours. I really had a tough time getting the old exhaust out. It was easy to unhook but tough to get the tail pipe out over the rear axle. The MBRP went on pretty easy. The hardest part about getting the new on was getting the down pipe hooked up to the turbo outlet.

It sounds great and the truck feels much less sluggish driving around. The engine breaking is reduced quite a bit when you coast. If any of you local guys want to hear what it sounds like give me a shout.
