I plan on getting an intake and exhaust, but which should I get first? The reason I'm asking is I'm concerned about the EGT's on the stock exhaust system. Will an intake make the EGT's go up?

Consider your engine to be nothing more than a big air pump. So anything you can do to help it move air more easily will improve performance.

So the question then becomes, out of the two systems you asked about, what's the biggest bang for your buck? Exhaust system is the number one restriction. Bigger diameter pipe and low restriction muffler will help much more than a new intake will. Of course it will be noisier, how much depends on what system and muffler combination you select.

Then you'll have to explore the CAT question; Whether to leave it on or not. Do a few searches on exhaust systems and you'll find lots of reading to do on the subject.

craSSh,

Zeeb is rright the exhaust is the biggest "cork", however plan on an intake too as the exhaust can only flow what you allow in the engine. The cork will now be the intake, plus if you add fuiel you need more intake to help the fuel get complete combustion and of course exhaust to complete the cycle etc. Call us if we can help we have all the exhaust, Pro Guard 7 intakes and of course Predator, Super Chips and the Edge Juice and Attitudes, and we guarantee our pricing too!
