Daimler Chrysler will finally move up into the medium duty truck market and introduce 4500/5500 series trucks in late 2006 for model year 2007. The truck will come standard with a 6.1 liter (?) Hemi putting out 435hp stock. However, they will also offer a new larger Cummins Diesel in the 6.x liter range as an option.

Now that I'll wait for. My 96 will just have to last a little longer.

Will they be a completely different truck than the 3500, or more like the F-450/550 in regards to the F-350s?

I was told today that has been scrapped. The truck and almost any trailer would be over 26k. That would require a CDL.
Thats what I was told. Just that. That was a hot shotter.

Copywrited? They all use different versions of the same numbers now for years. They simply designate 1/2 3/4 and 1 ton trucks... and up

I was under the impression that Dodge was banned from the larger truck market as part of their bankruptcy/ govt. bail out plan under Lee Iacoca several years back. I was told that's why they can't even produce a real crew cab. It seem to make sense, why else would they sit on their hands in the true 4 door market when they invented it. Edited by: MOTO HEAD
