So, my brother just bought a used 03' DMAX. I have an 02'. Question is this, I have the regular juice and was wondering if my box will work on his truck just to check things out? You can swap back and forth as long as they are the same engine, which in your case they are.


The Edge comes in two basic flavors now, one for the LB7 engine built up to 01-01-04, and one for the LLY engine built since then. So as long as you're not swapping the box from an '02 to a later '04 (the early '04 production was also LB7) with the LLY, it's okay.


You can't swap an LB7 box for an LLY and vice versa since the LLY uses a totally different computer for the ECM.

My 02 juice would let oil pressure guage work on new 03 truck. Every thing else worked. Took juice back to dealer and he swapped out for no charge. Better call nd check before installing.

If oil psi gauge does not work, 3 wires need to be added. VERY simple, unfortunately many units are warranteed because it's simpler.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
