:help: I just bought a 2006 2500HD Duramax and now I need to wire the plugs to get electricity from the truck to my Northstar camper. I previously had a Ford, and the Northstar dealer wired it for me. Now I'm trying to do this on my own because I don't like to be without a vehicle. How do I wire the plug on the Chevy? The new truck has a pigtail that comes up to the front driver corner, so all I have to do is hook up the plug to the wiring. I understand GM wire colors don't follow the industry norm.
Here is what my truck manual says:
Yellow: Left stop/turn
Dark Green: Right stop/turn
Brown: tail lamps
white: Ground
Light green: Back-up
Light Blue: Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (the manual says "The CHMSL wire is tied next ot the trailer wiring harness for use with a trailer, slide-in camper or cap.)
Red: Battery feed
Dark Blue: Trailer brake
So on the female plug, which wires do I attach to which contacts?
Thanks
