I was wondering if any combination of boxes are stackable of if only certain ones are compatable with others. Please let me know what you think are the best combos for drag racing.

thanks

Look at the dyno/hp get-togethers, some have their stacks in sig line.

If it's a stock tranny, you can run the 90hp edge all day. You can use it with the duramaximizer or a dynomight box (with the timing removed) at the track if you put it in tow/haul. With the 2500 this is the edge of power handling, but I wouldn't run it every day. The 3500 would probably limp first with this combo because of the extra weight. This is my experience with the set up. Any comments guys? Super Diesel

If you have a stock ALLI you don't need any extra low end (torque) you need more top end (hp). My allison took alot of abuse for a long time. QUAD 215 & TSTcomp. Quad 215 gave me extra rpms (big +) TSTcomp has good ajustability (HP setting on 1 or 2, TQ setting on 0) tried other setting but this was the fastest then.

Thanks for the info on the combo's. But what about stacking anything?? could I stack a banks with the juice? or what about stacking the juice with any of the other boxes. Will there be any ill side affects with certain combo's. Will some programing directly come into conflict with other power boxes primary configuration for making power? so let just say for example banks thinks that you should retard the timing to make more power with their tune, but then you stack it with the juice that wants to advance the timing to make more power with it's tune. Wouldn't they get all screwed up??? Maybe I'm looking way too much into this but it would be nice to know if I'm just being crazy http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wacko.gif

I think that maybe a little clarification might be needed here.

There are basically two types of "boxes"; Programmers which actually re-program your ECM and a module type which fits into the wiring between the engine/trans and their respective computers. You can also buy custom tuned ECM's if you want.

While the programmer modifies the actual ECM software, the modules take the data going back and forth and modify it to produce the increased power.

In order to "stack" "boxes" you need a combination of a programmer and a module. The Banks and the Juice are both modules, so you could not stack those two.

so....back to maxin's original question as im trying to figure that same question out as well ?? Assuming you will be stacking ( as mentioned above, some combos wont work obviously as they are the same type of "power enhancer" ) if you have a programmed ECM, they whats a good stack ?, and if you have a box say like edge, what ecm or programmer will stack good with. I get a bit confused on this as well as i know there is different ways to make power and i have yet to hear a really good answer on stacking, wether it be good, bad or in-different. On a side note, I run the TTS Tow Tune which is awesome and am just going to run it as my only power enhancer, eventually upgrading it as more tunes from TTS become available....Just trying to learn as much as i can in regards to making power, thanks

If you have a programmed ecm then you would want a module that plugs into the wiring harness to stack with. A programmer would be a waste since you already have an ECM.

The way to go about this is: reprogramed PCM or a programer that is removable for the computer, a plug in modual, if needed, a pressure box which is a plug in as well and works best with the group when the timing is removed.
