Was reading the brake controller set up and it says to warm the brakes before you go and set the controller. How many actually do this and what is your procedure to adjust your controller? I had a problem last time out, was curious..

I warm them a little bit, no big deal. As for setting the controller...I follow the directions that came with it.

When I installed my prodigy I started going down the road got up to 15mph let off the gas pedal and hit the manual overide on the brake controller. Used the trailer brakes only to stop and figured they were warm. Seemed to work out well.

Since I never pull the same trailer twice, I just plug in and go. Never had an issue, the Prodigy works great.

Do you just leave it set at 6.0 and go? My trailer was acting weird a little. I was gross at 11,000 on my trailer, added a little boost, second level, came off the mountain OK. got into town and it was super sensitive. I probobly just had it set wrong..

For what its worth...I'm grossing about the same (11K) and usually run boost at level 2, when getting into traffic I'll drop it back to level 1 to get rid of some of the grabbyness. When just moving gently at an RV park and such, I'll just turn boost off.
