I recently blocked the EGR and quickly noticed i have absolutly no smoke. I have no programmers, stock exhaust and before i could get a little smoke at full throttle. At night you could really see it in cars headlights, but last night i stood on it at a green light and looked in my mirror and to my suprise, no haze in the trailing vehicles headlights. I figured the engine sucking up clean fresh air produced a cleaner more effiecnt combustion. More HP!):h Anyone notice this? Maybe i am a Crazy %^$#.

When you recently blocked the egr, did that happen to coincide with the universal availability of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel at your local stations?

No i have my own fuel barrel on my farm that is low sulfur biodiesel only. Same tank of fuel even! I may pull the plate back out to see if the smoke comes back. This would explain the 1 MPG increase most see with a blocker.

I would not worry about the smoke, you are doing your engine a favor by not pumping smog-:t back through it!
