So after we finally got the paperwork done on my truck, the sales manager, who graduated a year ahead of me, figures I should show him around our farm and have a couple beverages. As we are cruising the subject of a truck at the dealership comes up that has been sitting there for a month. Poor guy rolled in off I-25 with a stuck injector and fuel everywhere, odometer reading 104,000. So it sits there all that time while they decide what to do, because he doesn't want to pay for it. But now they are fixing it under warranty. He says that GM told them that now the warranty on injectors is for 200k or 10 years. I asked if it also applied to the lly and he said as far as he knew it was for all duramax injectors. I haven't seen anyone mention this yet but surely sid or eric or someone should have heard about it if it true? I almost hate to mention this here because it might cause a riothttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif but I wanted to see if anyone else had heard that. The guy could have been wrong, it might have just been that particular truck and not all of them... But I sure would like to know for sure...

Makes me wonder.........should I spend a lot of money on a prefilter if GM would take care of first 200,000 miles??, sheet man....first set would be ready to replace by then WITH a prefilter...and from what I see just looking..........I think if the new external enjektorz leak, it don't run to the krankkase

So far, the extended warranty for the injectors only covers the 2001 and 2002 model years. And, it is for 7 years/200,000 miles.

The SM is just misinformed I would bet....

The current EXT warranty is for 01/02 owners ...

Oh well.. I don't need to worry about it for a long time yet anyway, just thought I'd mention it.

Saguaro Kid- thanks.. I seem to take a lot of pictures of the tractors and things..

Guitarman, put the pre-filter on now. Warranties are fine but if you are 1000 miles from home with the 5th wheel on when one dies, it sure is going to ruin your trip. Later! Frank
