http://chtucker.home.bresnan.net/IMG_9035_4_1_1.jpgI am looking at buying a 4wd heavy duty truck for plowing. I plow with my 05' 5500 4x4 with a 10' Boss V and a 05 Gehl 5640 skid steer with 7' blower. I have been doing mostly driveways and commercial lots. I now have 12 miles of dirt road.

I live at 10,000 feet a plow up to 11,000. So we do get some long seasons, a lot of snow and steep grades.

I have been looking at used Oshkosh trucks. I have not found a truck that is close, good condition and in my price range. I also would like to find a truck at least set up with a benching wing and front plow. I have a 6 yard spreader for whatever I buy.

I have seen some older trucks, but the oshkoshs seem to fit my need. Here are some pictures of the most recent canidate:

How the heck do you place a value on a truck like this? Going by auction values this truck is worth between 5-13k. They are asking quite a bit more. Cat 3208, and allison auto.

Any ideas or help?
