installed my finger stick and blocker plate tonight. truck did not throw a code before, but now it does. Should I disconnect my battery cables for 15-20 minutes and see if it goes away? F this finger stick.

Nothing to get that upset over, there is thousands in use. Take the truck to Autozone, have the code read and cleared. Most of the time problems with the stick are a result of installer. Double check your connections, Soilder them if not soildered already . Don't trust wire colors, go by location. If all else falls contact the man Fingers himself!! :grd:

I had the same thing, I just went to see a buddy at the dealership and he reset the codes and they have not come back. Nothing to get excited over.

Not to worry, if you have install right, and have no means to clear the code, enough key cycles will clear it. Same happened to me, and sure almost anybody else that installed block and fingers, it throws codes because you messed with it, it WILL clear up.

I've done two. My federal emissions truck and a friends California emissions truck. Neither produced a code. I would recheck the install before I would depend on key cycles to clear the code. After all that is what the stick is for ....to prevent codes. If it's not doing that then there can only be one problem.....the install did not go as planed.
